Splendor in Carmel Valley

First off congratulations to David (far left) & Kerry (far right)! Kerry was a Lily Spruce bride through and through and I loved all the little touches at her beautiful, outdoor wedding at Chateau Julien in Carmel Valley, Calif. Exhibit A: Moss-covered “tablecloth” with ribbon that held the escort cards and Exhibit B: the creative use of fruit (pears, apples and sliced oranges, oh my) for the centerpieces by San Francisco-based A Simple Ceremony. Ask your florist how you can incorporate elements like these at your next fete. Bonus points: ask your venue if they can compost these flowers post-wedding and you’ll have earned your eco badge for the day!
