Another product I couldn’t resist: this tote bag by menagerienyc. So sweet and pretty, no?

    Party in a Box

    Picture 5

It’s the best when someone else can do the thinking for you. Like this party-to-go kit from Etsy seller melangerienyc. Invites, napkin holders, cupholders… the works. The best part? Well there are a few:

    - It’s $10

    - You can print it out yourself (they’ve PDF’d it.)

    - And they’re formatted to 8.5″ x 11″

    Print. Cut. Assemble!

Now imagine doing something like this for your wedding day… or even a fun and kooky rehearsal dinner!

    Away We Go

    Bike Getaway

So sorry for the blog silence, but alas, it’s December, it’s the end of the year, it’s the time of lots of “doing” and I have been remiss at doing some new posts. Alas, I am a sneezy, coughing mess and only have this picture to offer.

Bicycle getaways at weddings might be the best way to exit your reception, hands down. With the sparklers leading the way, the short dress and the “Just Married” signs on the back of the signs, it’s just this side of adorable.

OK, now back to my regularly scheduled programming: cough, sneeze, repeat.

Hope you are taking care of yourselves at this time!

    Break the Rules

    mix and match BMs

On this cold, gray day in San Francisco, this picture really perks me up. I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot to my potential and existing clients: BREAK THE RULES! IT’S OK! And don’t do things because you have to, or tradition tells you to. At the end of the day, especially your wedding day, you need to feel like it’s yours, that you’ve really put your stamp on the thing, ya know?

I love the idea of mixed bridesmaid dresses. Each girl in this picture really looks like she’s having such a good time in a dress that’s uniquely hers. She’s wearing it and owning it–and it shows.

    Hair DO!

    December 2nd, 2009

    ban.do

I’m a big fan of things in your hair for dressy occassions, most especially when getting mehweed. There are few occasions when I feel like having big things in my hair (I wore a big gardenia on my own day), so why not take the plunge? To be sure, it’s an investment (the one pictured is $225), but it undoubtedly can be used for more fancy parties and as I see it, can be passed down as an heirloom piece.

These new bridal edition beauties by ban.do are super adorable, aside from being big and bold, bold, bold baby! They’re not for shrinking violets, that’s for sure. But who’s a violet on their wedding day? Surely not you! And surely not when you’re sporting one of these. It’s a DO!
