Style Us Pretty!
July 31st, 2012Super stoked to be mentioned on Style Me Pretty this month! Wow! Such a simple, easygoing wedding thanks to my clients Sam and Amy. They’re an example of letting go, and letting be (and letting me run the day, ahem!). That’s when the best stuff happens!

Behold, BHLDN
February 10th, 2011I’m not the girliest of the girlies, but I do love a lush, romantic as all getout wedding day getup. So my heart did a little shimmy when I popped onto two of my fave blogs, Cupcakes & Cashmere and Cup of Jo, to see that they had previewed the new bridal collection from Anthropologie: BHLDN (pronounced “beholden”). Priced from $1,000 to $4,000, it’s not only reasonable, but hits the right mix of traditional, modern and retro. I can’t wait to see what else is unveiled when the curtains officially rise on Valentine’s Day. Here are a few pics from Cup of Jo and Oh Joy!–the latter of which will be sharing more posts from the collection preview this week. Utter bridal deliciousness! And of course I love the event styling–Anthropologie to a T!
By the way, I’ll be attending the Gump’s “Princess and the Porcelain” bridal event tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the San Francisco store. Come say hi! I’ll be in a kelly green cardigan.

Shoes Glorious Shoes
January 21st, 2011There’s a serious dearth of cute wedding shoes out there. Thank goodness for Hey Lady. Not cheap, but oh so very cute, like this “Twinkletoes” pair.
Taylor Taylor Taylor
December 13th, 2010I first caught sight of Accessories Director Taylor Tomasi Hill in the Web pages of The Sartorialist and since then, have been utterly bewitched. Preppy classic with a punk edge and very decidedly downtown. It’s a look I aspire to.
So when I caught up on Martha Stewart Weddings online, I had no idea that when I clicked on a thumbnail of a redhead in a ’20s coif kissing her man at her wedding reception that it would turn out to be… Taylor!
There’s something about fashion industry girls who get married that I love. They’ve got the fashion part down pat, but it always intrigues me how they turn that sartorial aptitude into couture wedding candy. (See Jenna Lyons, Jessica de Ruiter and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.) The bride wore two J. Mendel dresses and a prized pair of Alaia sky-high heels, natch.
A vision in red.
