Brand Re-Launch Party at Unique San Francisco Venue for Community Non-Profit

This was another former client from years past, in which we helped the Executive Director’s non-profit with a huge sit-down gala at the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco. Fast forward a few years later as we teamed up again to throw a community party to celebrate the successes of SOMA Pilipinas and debut their rebranded logo and other design.

Biggest challenge for us: with the organization being a non-profit, using donated food, we had to figure out how to build a prep kitchen and train our volunteers to be servers! One hotbox and several 6' table rentals later, we did it! We had a lot of fun being a pretend caterer for the day! AND also hosting an event with some of the city's politicos, including Mayor London Breed.

Finally, we had the additional challenge of transforming the space to make room for a dance party, which was also super fun. We'll say it once and we'll say it again: we love love love building and bridging COMMUNITY!

What we did:

  • Coordinated donations from Filipino-backed small businesses to provide food and drink

  • Organize all the other vendors

  • Figure out layout of the space

  • Work with the organization’s volunteers to run back of house and pickups/dropoffs
