Outdoor Wedding with a Wild Dance Party on Historic San Francisco Presidio Grounds
These two! So full of personality, and we loooooooove that about our couples. Shira and Spencer met at Cornell and are huge party people, mega dancers… and so they knew early on: low-key ceremony, good food, even better dance party. And boy, what a party. A total banger from the first dance, as the kids say!
What we did:
Advised a ton on the ceremony logistics and structure (where to put the chuppah; how to let guests know they’d be standing; would it be OK if we asked guests to stand?)
The venue, Golden Gate Club in San Francisco’s Presidio, has a ton of rules and restrictions (and paperwork!), so we navigated our couple through that process
Reconciling what the venue provided and what needed to be supplemented
Floor planning with their caterer
Making a ton of vendor suggestions
On the day and night of the event, Lily Spruce:
Coordinated all vendors throughout the day and night
Dispersed gratuities
Conducted everything on the timeline
Prompted the toasters
Set up the guest book and gathered centerpieces for guests to take home
Loaded gifts, food and decor items into pre-designated family cars
